WorldMapper

Some of you have undoubtedly already seen this, but if you haven’t, take a look at what happens when compelling data meets beautiful (and useful) design: WorldMapper, “a collection of world maps, where territories are re-sized on each map according to the subject of interest.” While there are a lot of interesting categories — tourism, immigration, population — I’m hoping in the future we’ll see the WorldMapper folks look at things like crime rates, religiosity, life expectancy, sports obsession, etc.

Wow. that's so cool. Thanks. I found the maps for immigration and container ports to be the most interesting ones.

A series of sports ones would be good. Talk about mapping statistics! You could really go nuts.
