    Nice story, good to see Sudhir get some publicity because he’s a smart guy, but the article was a little bland and simple from a Freakonomics-blog-frequenter’s perspective *wink*

    He is one of the best ethnographers I have ever known. You might be interested to know that this method of research seems to be more common here in France than any other place, specially to study social phenomena. I think the emphasis to be involved (not contribute possibly) in an issue and then write about it, is one of the big differences in common research methods in Europe and US. Does anybody have a comment or reference on this?
