Looking for a Farmers' Market?

We’ve blogged before about sites like Swivel and ManyEyes, data-mashup sites which allow users to upload datasets, create tables, share them with other users, and compare them to other datasets on the sites. This week a new open data project, Factual, was launched by Google alum Gil Elbaz. Elbaz “intends to build one of the largest repositories of open data,” while maintaining an emphasis on accountability and transparency. The platform already has a number of interesting data sets on topics like death-row prisoners, farmers’ markets in the U.S., and California restaurants. [%comments]
