Etsy for Economists

Economists may think there’s nothing for them on Etsy, the website that sells handmade and vintage arts and crafts items, usually made by grandmas or some overeducated Brooklyn mom. But they would be wrong. Dork out with these statistical distribution pillows:

Log Distribution? Continuous Uniform? Even Chi-Square! It’s all here. And it also turns out, Normal Distribution makes a really good doorstop

Mr. J

I've ordered their Pi and it's really good.

There's also Etsy *by* Economists -- check out Bliss Point Creations (blisspointcreations.etsy.com). Fun & pretty stuff made by an actual working Economist in her spare time.

Help me decide which one I am!

That's a rather condescending comment, don't you think? Unless it's true, of course. How about some analysis? Just who does crafting and e-marketing?

JImD

Leave out "Brooklyn", and it's pretty much dead-on.

Enjoyed the books. Have thought for yrs that we need the draft back for 18-22 yr old kids. I have a question for you. Do you think doing away w/ the draft has resulted in too many young men w/ nothing to do but stand on street corners & get into trouble? Added to the crack cocaine explosion, maybe it was a big reason for the increase in crime in the 60's & 70's. Most of those kids would have been in the service where they would have been learning some responsibility.

I sent a letter to the paper years ago proposing a renewal of the draft. Boys & girls could spend 2 yrs in service. Doesn't have to be military. Would be a good way to repair our infrastructure. Cheap labor & teaching kids a trade along w/ responsibility.

Thanks for listening.
