Derick

Congratulations. I'm not surprised.

Are you guys going to say anything about the death of Stetson Kennedy?

A. Wilson

I do not understand why success is "humbling". I hear this all the time, "I am humbled to be named CEO of Huge Corp." I thought being humbled was by being knocked down a notch, "The #1 ranked football team was humbled by the huge underdog."

Can someone explain why success is humbling?

Zaka

Feeling humble comes from recognizing that you are not entitled to success, but have had some good fortune get you there.

A losing team is humbled by realizing they weren't entitled to a never-ending winning streak.

The Freakonomics guys are humbled because they appreciate that it is their audience that has put them on top. They are also proud that their hard work paid off; I'm sure.

CEOs are claiming to be humbled by having the good fortune of being chosen. They're actually just lying to cover their hubris.

King Melchiori

I read the Netflix email and I'm worried the CEO might start showing up outside customers' bedroom windows blasting "In Your Eyes".
