    You don’t want a strip club near your neighborhood, nor a homeless shelter, plasma clinic, or cheapo-liquor store. As a city planner, I’d keep my zoning laws super strict to limit these things. Section 8 housing is another big crime upper.

      Amusing upon reflection that there was a strip club and racetrack (now casino) very near where I grew up. They added the low income housing after a housing segregation court settlement.
      And I turned out somewhat normal, but wouldn’t want to live there now.

    What is at all new about the way that ‘techies’ process census data? It looks like the guy just downloaded the census data available from IPUMS or the census bureau and processed it in any standard statistical analysis software, nothing too fancy…
