I have the paperback edition, which means that the first three or four pages are devoted to positive reviews and testimonials to the book. One in particular caught my eye:
There are too many lame books about being a police officer written by people who haven’t spent a single day in uniform or on the streets. Blue Blood is real, authentic, true. Beautiful and inspiring, terrifying and heartbreaking. It is a great book.
It must have made Conlon very proud to receive such high praise, except for one small detail.
