Would you like to participate in our new “Peak” project? It was inspired by the recent Freakonomics Radio episode “How to Become Great at Just About Anything”; it features the research of K. Anders Ericsson, who has spent more than 30 years studying expert performers in many fields. He is the co-author (with Robert Pool) of the new book Peak: Secrets from the New Science of Expertise.
Now we are recruiting participants who want to get really, really good at something and are willing to engage in “deliberate practice” with a coach or teacher, as prescribed by Ericsson, who will be our lead advisor. Some participants will be featured in an upcoming podcast; we are also developing a set of tools to to help anyone track their progress and share their trials and triumphs.
If you’re up for it — truly up for it — please fill out this short survey.
