Note to Self: Put Some Dogs in SuperFreakonomics
With the bookselling year nearly over (though with its best few weeks yet to come), Publishers Weekly has published its list of best-selling books for 2006 to date. The top 3 hardcover novels are:
1. For One More Day, by Mitch Albom
2. Beach Road, by James Patterson
3. Cell, by Stephen King
And the top 3 hardcover nonfiction books are:
1. Marley & Me, by John Grogan
2. Cesar’s Way, by Cesar Millan and Melissa Jo Peltier
3. Freakonomics
In case you don’t know, Marley & Me is about a rascally Labrador retriever and Cesar’s Way is about a super-successful dog trainer.
I can’t help thinking we might have made the top spot if only we had slipped a couple damn dogs into Freakonomics.
