Interesting opinion pieces from Ed Glaeser
Ed Glaeser is one of the smartest economists around. He is a professor at Harvard with an astonishing list of academic papers on topics all over the map. He was profiled a year or two back in the NY Times Sunday magazine.
Ed has started writing op-ed pieces for the Boston Globe. His most recent op-ed has recommendations for reforming the rules for building affordable housing.
A few months ago, he argued that free roads are anything but free.
If he can ever be convinced to write a popular book, my guess is that it would be fantastic. There are not many economists about whom I can say that with confidence.
