Born Under a Good Sign

This kid better have a great life, or he’s got a lot to answer for: a boy named Jack Falkner was born in Chippewa Falls, Wisc., on Saturday, 7/7/07, and he weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces. That, at least, is what the hospital says. But think about it: if you were the person looking at Baby Jack’s scale, mightn’t you have rounded up or down to hit the magical 7 lbs.-7 oz. mark?

Even if that were the case, there were probably plenty of other lucky babies. Seven pounds, 7 ounces is a pretty typical birthweight, and there are more than 11,000 babies born in the U.S. every day (although fewer on weekends). What I want to hear about is the 7 lbs.-7 oz. kid who was born at 7:07 a.m. on 7/7/07. Any leads? She will probably grow up to be a poker champ.
