The Best Paragraph You’ll Read All Week
I was ugly from about sixth grade all the way through high-school. The worst was in high-school. I had braces, acne, glasses, and dark curly hair. I didn’t play any sports — my only real hobby was playing chess and I read a lot of comic books.
That is James Altucher, whom I’ve blogged about before, writing in his Financial Times column.
I don’t know if it’s because I know James and like him so much that I think this is one of the best opening paragraphs I’ve ever read, or if it’s really that good. Either way, go and read the column — which, it turns out, is about how to make a good stock play based on people’s vanity.
