Avoiding the Big, Drunk Guy
A new study, highlighted on the British Psychological Blog (one of our favorites), finds that “heavier men are, on average, more likely to be aggressive when drunk than are lighter men.” The same is not true for heavier women. The study’s authors believe their findings make sense from an evolutionary perspective because larger men are “more able than weaker men to inflict costs on others in conflict situations.” Presumably, it also makes sense from an evolutionary perspective to avoid the big, drunk guy.
